Digital Reputation Safety Insights

Threat intelligence, guides, and industry insights on the digital threats damaging brands today - and how to protect against them.

Most guidance about online reputation starts with tools and tactics. We start with the threat. The articles in this Knowledge Centre exist to explain how digital reputation risks form, why they matter to a business, and what an effective response looks like - before recommending any particular action.

The library covers the threats that damage brands most often: fake reviews and review manipulation, impersonation and fake profiles, counterfeit listings, fake websites, and the search reputation attacks that push harmful content to the top of a results page. Alongside threat explainers, you will find practical guides, sector-specific insight for industries such as healthcare and consumer brands, and analysis of how digital trust is changing.

Each piece is written to stand on its own. You should be able to read an article and come away understanding the problem, its business impact, and the direction of a solution - without needing prior context. Where a topic connects to a specific threat, the article links through to its full definition in the threat glossary so you can go deeper. New analysis is added as threats evolve.

DiReFTY Launches to Protect Brands from Fake Reviews and Online Fraud

DiReFTY has launched as a Digital Reputation Safety and Trust-Tech venture built to help businesses protect their online credibility against a fast-growing class of digital threats. As buyers increasingly decide who to trust based on reviews, search results, and social profiles, a single coordinated attack - fake reviews, an impersonation account, or a lookalike website - can erode reputation faster than a business can respond. DiReFTY exists to close that gap.

The launch positions DiReFTY inside an emerging category: Digital Reputation Safety. Rather than treating reputation as a communications problem handled after a crisis, the company approaches it as continuous infrastructure - monitoring the platforms customers check first and acting on threats before they move revenue. This distinguishes it from both traditional reputation management and cybersecurity, which protects systems and data but not the trust signals that shape buying decisions.

Businesses today invest significant time and resources in building their reputation, yet many remain vulnerable to digital threats that can erode trust overnight.
